Siegmund Clamping system

Compose your individual devices from aluminum profiles and various cover and base plates according to your requirements and produce small to large series quickly, easily and inexpensively. You can work with your custom-made templates – whether laser parts or from the 3D Printer. The templates can be attached in the T-slot of the aluminum profiles with square nuts and screws. The templates are aligned via the table surface – as a basis we recommend Siegmund perforated plates, welding tables or slot tables. The height of the component is determined by the length of the aluminum profiles and can be individually adapted by cutting to size. The aluminum profiles are available in fixed lengths or as mass product.

The Siegmund clamping system is available in all systems and, as usual, can be combined with all the accessories in our product range.

Assembly instructions

Define the height of the square

Cut the aluminum profile to the required length
Note the minimum height of the cut
Ensure cut edges are square
Deburr the profile after sawing

Fasten the base plate

Fasten aluminum profile using self tapping screws
When the screws are screwed in, a thread is created in the profile
Thread cutting is not required with self tapping screws
Maximum torque: 20 Nm

Insert square nuts

Insert square nuts in the T-Slot of the aluminum profiles
For fastening customer-side templates (material thickness 5 – 6 mm) or optionally also lateral fastening of quick-change clamps with M8x12 screws

Fasten the cover plate

Fasten aluminum profile using self tapping screws
When the screws are screwed in, a thread is created in the profile
Thread cutting is not required with self tapping screws
Maximum torque: 20 Nm

Mount accessories

Mount the quick-change clamp directly on the cover plate
The quick-change clamp can also be attached using an adapter
Fastening of clamps, squares, stops and prisms in system 16 boreholes possible

Clamp the device

Attachment to perforated plate, welding table or slot table with fast clamping bolts
If required, use a M8x12 screw to fasten the customized template to a square nut
